Birding Field Trips

WHAT WE DO

Birding Field Trips

Guided outings to some of the best birding spots in south-central Idaho, free, friendly, and open to anyone who wants to come along.

When the weather warms up or a good opportunity presents itself, we head out into the field. Prairie Falcon Audubon organizes about five bird-watching excursions a year, led by experienced birders who know the local hotspots and the birds that show up there.

Most trips involve carpooling from a meet-up point to one of the many Magic Valley birding hotspots, canyon rims, reservoirs, riparian corridors, and back roads that hold something worth stopping for. Pace is relaxed, questions are welcome, and beginners are just as much a part of the group as long-time birders.

Bird walks are free and open to the public.

ABOUT US!

Come Along for the Walk.

When the weather turns and the birds get moving, so do we. Prairie Falcon Audubon leads about five field trips a year to the best birding spots in the Magic Valley — from the Snake River Canyon to the South Hills. Trips are led by experienced local birders, and we usually carpool from a meet-up point in Twin Falls.

Every field trip is free and open to the public. Check our events for what’s coming up next.
